Design Thinking Fast Forward for Staff

Welcome to the d-school. We are planning a free 1 day FFW in Design Thinking for UCT Staff on the 21 February 2018 at the d-school.

When staff embark on one of the d-school’s Design Thinking programmes, usually it’s the first time in their lives that they have the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams on real world challenges; and gain insights and experience that can help them innovate in the world of work in the future.

Design Thinking is an approach to understanding and solving the complex, systemic problems facing contemporary societies and economies.

• Training in design thinking helps students:
• Develop creative confidence
• Learn to work in transdisciplinary teams
• Design human-centric solutions.

So if you’re interested in being equipped to tackle the challenges of the future, apply for the FREE training in design-led innovation offered on the d-school’s 1 day FFW in Design Thinking Programme.

Free aerobics classes for UCT staff and students
Please note: The lunchtime aerobics classes held in Hall 3 in the Sports Centre on Wednesdays and Fridays are suspended/postponed until the first Wednesday in December 2017.

The reason for this is that all three halls in the Sports Centre is currently being used by the Examination Department for the writing of tests and exams from 30 October to 10 November 2017 and thereafter for the end-of-year exams. The exam desks and chairs are packed out in the halls.
